The Trivia Awards ceremony is a time for all the players and volunteers to gather both physically and virtually and reflect on why vacation, time, and sanity was sacrificed for 50 hours. One reporter characterized the ceremony as “Trivia’s Mardi Gras” for the rollicking nature of the event complete with costumes, flying fruit, occasional marriage proposals, a yearly strip-tease, many thank yous, boos for teams within driving distance that don’t attend, and of course, the reading of the scores!
